So who is Paul Phillipson and what does the title of Executive Director of Operations mean?

I am a Peterborian who grew up in Stanground. I have 4 children aged 20 months to 18 years, 2 boys and 2 girls. I have just retired from 30 years policing, having finished as a Chief Superintendent here in Peterborough.

I started as a Director initially on secondment, and now confirmed in post, in October 2008. The services I manage can be seen here in a structural chart and cover a wide range of areas. I also have a role as Director of the Strong and Supportive Communities element of the Local Area Agreement.

The key areas this effects are Neighbourhood working, community cohesion, community safety and empowerment. During the month I will talk more about each of these areas.

As you can see from the photo I intend to push these services to a new level challenging the way we deliver and engage with partners to improve services for the people of Peterborough.
