Recipe for Sustainable Communities

Positively Parnwell is hosting a ‘Recipe for sustainable communities’ conference on Thursday, May 20th between 9am and 1pm at the Kingsgate Community Centre in Parnwell.

The event aims to tackle the main problem that most grant funded programmes experience - “What to do when all the money runs out?”

The event will include a variety of speeches including the ‘Seven Steps to Sustainability’ by key note speaker, John Hume of Third Republic and author of a recent guide on creating sustainability in the community for the Fair Share Trust.

There will also be the opportunity for attendees to get involved in interactive workshops covering a role for: business, communication and young people.

Chief Executive Officer of the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation, Jane
Darlington commented: Chief Executive Officer of the Cambridgeshire Community
Foundation, Jane Darlington commented: “This event will provide the perfect
opportunity for a whole host of individuals to come together and contribute to
securing the future of the Positively Parnwell project. We have a strong list of
attendees already signed up to attend but there is space for others who are
interested in how to build a sustainable legacy of community engagement.”

To reserve your place at the event either call Hannah Barrett at Athene Communications on 01733 207340 or send an email to Hannah@athene-communications.co.uk.
